Hello Everyone,
My name is Jacqueline Van Hazel and I'm a Liberal Arts Major at the University of Northern Colorado. I'm currently in my 3rd year and my two favorite things about being an English major are reading and poetry. I have a writing minor, and I also have a large collection of poems that I've written over the past 5 years of my life.I do not have anything published yet, primarily because I'm not too fond of people I don't know reading my creative writing; but I'm getting more and more comfortable with sharing my work. I hope to have a book of poetry published some day and I've also been exploring some ideas for a playwright that I would like to compose within the next few years of my life. I love the imagination and I always love it when I can bring my audience into my work visually. Sometimes I have a hard time talking to people, especially people my own age (I'm currently 21) and I've found that my short stories, and my poetry have allowed me to connect with friends and classmates in a way that language alone would have never allowed. I look forward to reading the works of my fellow classmates, and I hope I can receive some constructive criticism over the next couple of months.
Some of my hobbies include: Writing music, playing music ( I play drums) and fly fishing. During the summers I spend a lot of time in Estes Park. I also enjoy camping, river rafting and hiking.
